Childhood Game Day (11 Aug 2012)

A Childhood Game Day will be held on 11 Aug 2012 at Lamma Island Centre. Through creative stories and games of different generations, we purport to cultivate the creativity, endurance, self-confidence and team spirit of children. The game day will feature a live game of Angry Birds and an origami workshop amongst other activities, and various snacks will be available as well. Adults and children are welcome to enjoy the fun!

Summer Fairy Green Tai O

Hans Andersen Club applies the technique of storytelling in improving parent-child relationships. In summer 2012, we will launch the Fairy Green Tai O programme to show children the beauty of Tai O. In the programme, children will be assigned a role in the story of “Little Match Seller”, helping the main character to complete different tasks related to environmental protection.

Learning Without Pain Project

The “Learning Without Pain” project was launched from February to May in 2012 in a primary school located in Wong Tai Sin. Eight primary one students who have symptoms of dyslexia were invited to join. In the project, storytelling activities, workshops and various exercises were provided to enhance their interests in the scopes of both reading and writing.

Caring Shops Award 2011/12

In order to encourage small size companies to volunteer in the community services, Social Welfare Department launched the captioned scheme this year. HAC has successfully nominated Concord Information Technology International Ltd. for the award.
