Guest Speakers in NGO Day 2012

In order to facilitate non-profit organizations to fully utilize the potential of information technology and cloud computing, Microsoft Hong Kong Limited and Hong Kong Council of Social Services co- organized 2012 NGO Day on 30 May 2012. This event was held at Hong Kong Conference & Exhibition Centre at Wanchai.

In the event, cloud security issues were discussed in depth. HAC was glad to receive sponsorship from Microsoft to use Office 365 for the upcoming two years. Ms. May Wong, Executive Director of HAC and Ms. Christy Yung, Centre in Charge of Lamma Island Centre were invited to join the forum and shared their experiences.

Soceite Generale Citizen Commitment Week

Societe Generale is the long term caring partner of Hans Andersen Club (HAC). From 1 June to 9 June 2012, Societe Generale launched various creative fund raising events including wine tasting, a night hike, a charity massage, an art auction and bake sale. All proceeds will be donated to HAC for their dynamic storytelling services to underprivileged children and their families in Hong Kong.

Joint Training for Middle Management Staff

With the support from the Social Welfare Development Fund, HAC and sixteen small non-profit making organisations, invited Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) to launch a series of training programmes for their middle management staff. The first seminar kicked off on 13 June 2012 at the headquarters of HKCSS in Wanchai.

Mother's Day Tea Party

Volunteers from Allen & Overy held a tea party with children members of Chuk Yuen Centre on 12 May 2012. They played games, distributed presents and helped children to show their love to their mothers by making creative cards. Everyone enjoyed a lovely weekend.
