Story Tea House

40 children members from Chuk Yuen Centre received 10 sessions of training in the past few months. They learnt how to play the African drum, how to make dim sum food and designed a calendar. On 3 February 2018, these children visited an elderly home located in Wong Tai Sin. They performed and share the festive joy with the senior citizens. This project is funded by Societe Generale and Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, it enhanced children mind-set to solve a social issue, i.e. the ageing population with creative methods.

Generation Integration via storytelling

15 energetic elderly people received professional storytelling training and started serving the grass roots community. Ms. Micy Lui, District Social Welfare Officer, Wong Tai Sin & Sai Kung, Social Welfare Department also joined us on 9 March 2018. She shared and demonstrated the fun of playing traditional children games. This Story Buddy project was funded by Operation Santa Claus and intends to spread the seeds of storytelling in the community via energetic elderly.

Kindergarten charity wall day

Children received lots of red packets during Lunar New Year period. SDM Chatsworth International Kindergarten encouraged children to share their fortune on charity cause. On 24 February 2018, dozens of children and parents gathered at Kowloon Tong school campus to paint a charity wall. The proceeds were donated to HAC to buy quality picture books and held storytelling workshops for children and parents from grass roots families.

Lamma Story Garden
