An Extraordinary Halloween Party

Halloween does not have to be just about dressing up in ghoulish costumes. Tapping children’s natural enthusiasm for this fiendishly fun festival can also open up invaluable opportunities for learning. To do precisely this, the Hang Lung As One volunteer team organized a Halloween Story-telling Party for a group of 20 youngsters aged between four and seven from low-income families. The party was a great opportunity for them to have a truly extraordinary Halloween experience.

 

Dungeon on Lamma

The judge from the hell and villains came to Lamma! Over one hundred members of HAC dressed up to celebrate Halloween on 31 Oct 2015. The concept of "dungeon” was introduced this year to teach children members to think twice before they committed any form of "crime”. Everyone needed to bear the consequence of his/her own behavior after all.

 

 

Visit from representatives of The Community Chest of Hong Kong

The Community Chest of Hong Kong has been supporting the service of Chuk Yuen centres for more than a decade. 20 representatives of the Community Chest visited the centre on 20 Oct 2015, having a closer look on the services provided. 

2015-16 Executive Board

The new executive board was elected and formed by Oct 2015. Prof. Alice Chong,Chairperson, and Ms. Wendy Tam, Vice Chairperson, will continue to lead the board through another fruitful year.
