3. Who will the narrator be in your story?

You can choose who will be the “teller of the tale” in your story. Here are two popular choices:

  • You can be the narrator in the story, using first-person “I” (e.g., My story begins when I was nine and lived with my Grandmother in Mongkok.).
  • You can tell the story from an outsider’s perspective (e.g., Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Cinderella . . . .).
