"Little Links,
Unlimited Dreams" Project (Phrase 2)
A project kindly sponsored and supported by Societe Generale
(SG), commenced in July 2009. The project aims at promoting
youth leadership, children development and community integration.
Secondary school students and primary school students will
be matched up as story-buddies. Training workshops, storytelling
activities and various bonding exercises will be given to
the participating schools. Volunteers from Societe Generale
will also serve as mentors for the youth, sharing their professional
knowledge in communication skills, financial management and
career planning.
HAC was glad to receive the match donation granted by The
Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged to launch Phrase 2
of the "Little Links, Unlimited Dreams" Project. Three secondary
schools and three schools with special needs students will
be matched up as reading buddies. Workshops like story writing,
communications skill will be provided. It is hoped that through
this connection, social inclusion and networking can be achieved.
Phrase 2 is launched by mid 2011. HAC will partner with schools
like SAHK Jockey Club Elaine Field School to spread the reading
culture among the community.
