 The
flag day of Hans Andersen Club (HAC) will be held on
23 October 2010 (Saturday), from 7:00am to 12:30 pm
in the New Territories. We sincerely invite you to join
as volunteers in helping needy children in Hong Kong.
HAC is a non-profit making organization
established in 1963. Our mission is "Cherish our children;
Cultivate our community". We provide social services
including pair-reading programs and play therapy to
children, youth and their families, especially those
under-privileged ones, e.g. new immigrants and minorities.
Our five centres are located in Chuk Yuen and Wang Tau
Hom in Wong Tai Sin, on Lamma Island and Tai O on Lantau
Island. More than 120,000 people participate in our
activities each year.
There is a great demand for resources
in providing the above-mentioned services, your kind
donation can help in the holistic development of Hong
Kong's next generation. Children under the age of 14
are accompanied by adults to participate in this meaningful
event. To motivate more people to join this meaningful
event, we are pleased to present awards to groups
that can arrange volunteers (details listed in the table
below). Certificates will be presented also to all participants
to express our sincere thanks. Details are as follows:
