120 students benefited
from Academic Development Scheme
With the generous support from The Clearwater Bay Golf and
Country Club, 120 eligible students from grassroots families
are granted with $500 subsidy each. Children used the subsidy
on joining scouting activities, computer course and dance
training, etc. The scheme launched from September 2009 to
June 2010. Children from Lamma Island and Tai O of Lantau
Island can also benefit. In order to show their gratitude,
children specially drew a booklet and presented it to The
Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club on 19 July. Siu Kwan
Ho, one of the beneficiaries of the scheme, shared that he
was grateful to donor's generosity and used the subsidy for
joining computer courses and some summer activities. On the
same day, the Club prepared lunch and recreational activities,
e.g. swimming and rock climbing for children, starting their
summer holiday in a memorable way.
